                                     BIOGRAPHIES

Norman Roberts - Singist and twiddles on 6 string

Varied career in music clubs, pubs, recording etc. but if you haven't heard the quality of his vocals your missing a treat.

Norman is now the only remaining original member of the band but is looking forward to an exciting new phase of the band.

Bass guitar -  Andy Penny

A most accomplished bass player Andy is a Colne boy and has paid his dues over many years. Only been with the band since April 2017.  Andy has slotted in really well and creates a solid bottom end with Martyn. Possesses a wicked sense of humour and has the most laid back approach possible.

Mike Walsh - Lead guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, banjo with some vocals

Mike started his musical journey as a bass player learning both set  lists within a week (it wasn't hard) and was performing the following Saturday at a Salford residency. Then went on to perform in clubs and pubs around the Manchester area eventually being demoted to  lead guitar.

Worked with Norman in a duo, working the club scene, for several years. Years later Norman asked Mike to join ‘Slyder’ who covered his first love in music classic rock and blues.

Martyn Smith - Drummist & Vocals

Hails from Colne and runs a busy recording studio based in Nelson - If you haven't seen him perform as a drummer your missing a treat. All round musician Martyn is the babe of the group but along with Andy probably the finest rhythm section around.  He is also an accomplished sound engineer and the Slyder boys definitely benefit from this in their live show
